Every year in June Chantal and I hold a dinner party and show off my culinary skills for a small group of friends. This year was the “Dining On The Porch’s” 6th anniversary and I am slow in showing you a few images….well….because quite frankly I’m buried in weddings!…. The annual event includes a contest later in the evening for one of my art prints. The winner of this years contest took home a large canvas print of the Eiffel Tower. It was a photograph taken when Chantal and I visited Paris for an engagement shoot earlier this year. What a hoot watching our friends play magnetic darts. The canvas print caused a lot of competitive moments during the short competition. The dinner this year consisted of huge fourteen ounce rib eye steaks from Nesbitts Meat Market here in Lindsay. Without a doubt the best butcher shop North of Seven. I have also attached a few images from 2007 because it was the 5th anniversary and we had a Chef from Toronto come to Lindsay and work his culinary magic. If your looking to hire a chef for your event big or small I wouldn’t hesitate to give Chadd a call. Chadd is the owner of Chef For All Seasons and did an excellent job in looking after the 2007 festivities.
In 2007 this was our invitation. Each year the invitation shows images from the previous year. Note the ice cream truckthat was hired to show up for desert 🙂
In 2007 we had our dinner in the back yard.
In 2008 we moved back to the porch. We all decided after the evening that the porch is our favorite location. After all it’s “Dining On The Porch”
The magnetic dart competition winner received this 24×36 inch canvas
My mother is always E mailing me in regards to my grammar and spelling errors. I felt great after pulling this out of the box from the Loblaws Bakery
