Thanks for visiting our blog. Here you will find many images from present all the way back to 2008 when we started sharing our passion. This blog will follow Chantal and I as we cross this great earth photographing the many weddings, events and family sessions we are so lucky to be involved in.

Please leave a comment if you have any questions, are moved by an image or would just like to talk shop. Hopefully your images will become part of our photographic journey.

Purdy Family – Lindsay Ontario

Recently Ridout Photography visited the Purdy family for a portrait special we ran last Christmas. They picked a great time of the season to tour one my favorite family shooting locations…Ken Reid Park.ย  Sarah is certainly a busy Mom looking after these three busy toddlers and running her photography business Sarah Purdy Photography. As Sarah would know its tough getting three little ones, let alone the parents all looking at the camera at the same time but we did it!! Here’s a few of my faves from our session.

Bothwell Family Cottage + The Crooked Tree

Ridout Photography visited Buckhorn Ontario recently to photograph the Bothwell family at their summer cottage. The cottage is for sale….or at least it was on this visit. It you are looking for a great location on the water then look no further ๐Ÿ™‚ย  Many great cottage memories for this family including the crooked tree they would stop at and climb just before arriving at the cottage. It became a stop that they would make on every trip North to Buckhorn. We captured images this afternoon that they can keep and look back on when the cottage is a past memory.ย  I stopped on my way home to take one last photograph of the crooked tree. In fact I’m thinking I may have the nicest shot of that tree….and wouldn’t it look great hanging over a fireplace as a memory of the cottage ๐Ÿ˜‰ Enjoy!

Rayna { Denver Portraits } - Great photos! I love the shots of the dog! ๐Ÿ™‚

Adam - I’ve driven by that tree several times. It is quite unique indeed! It really stands out. Great work as always.

Jen Bossy - It’s been almost 4 years since you shot our wedding and your work still takes my breath away. You’re right – your shot of that tree is outstanding, and the picture of the mom and dad at the very end is magnificent. Thank you for capturing memories for all of us.

Graham Family Photo Session – Kawartha Lakes

What was looking to be a complete wash out because of thunderstorms and torrential rain ended up being a wonderful photo session. I met at the family farm and within a halfย  hour the rain stopped and we had this wonderful overcast sky withย  rich saturated colours. The overgrown tennis court hadnt been used in years until I decided i wanted to do a stylized shot ๐Ÿ™‚ Here are a few of my faves. Enjoy!

Meghan & Corey – Nestleton Waters Inn Wedding

Meghan and Corey had a beautiful wedding at the Nestleton Waters Inn this past July. Ridout Photography was there to capture the big day and wonderful weather. The candy bar was a nice touch considering it’s my number one weakness for anything sweet. Here are a few from our day together. All the best to Meghan & Corey….you are a wonderful couple!
