Lindsay & Michael – A Photographers Dream

Throughout the year we shoot weddings across the country and throughout the world and every know and then we shoot an exceptionally detailed wedding. Details can make shooting a wedding so much easier. What I mean by details is in the surroundings, the wedding gown, shoes, flowers, transportation and venue etc. Even the location as to where the girls prepare themselves before heading to the ceremony is important. It was obvious that Lindsay put allot of thought into what was needed to pull off a great detailed wedding.  All the little fine touches including her Madeline Gardner designer gown and the wedding ceremony location of Sleepy Hollow Country Club made for excellent imagery. Here are a few photographs and actual pages from Lindsay and Michael’s Coffee table book.

I just love the warmth of this book cover….that old car rocked!

And this is what I mean by detail folks…it doesn’t get better then this!

I usually take my monopod with me if I know that I’ll be shooting outside. This is a good example of using the camera on a monopod to get up high for a great perspective. Mount the camera to the quarter inch thread and set the timer. Place it high above your head and wait for the shutter (hold your breath and stand still 🙂 ) ….click….and Bob’s your uncle!

Adam - Excellent images as always.

You picked an excellent location for the wedding dress shot. I love the ring on the thistle as well.

Thanks for the tip on the monopod height perspective. I’ll have to remember that one! 🙂
