Janie + Russell + Sarah + James = The Alexander Family

We braved the cold December air to capture some great shots of the Alexander Family along with Sugar and Max  right here in Lindsay. Normally we would see things covered in snow but this day the sun came out to make for another fun shoot. Enjoy a few faves from our session with the Alexanders.

The Nicolaides Family – Mini Family Session Lindsay Ontario

We met up with Angelo, Christine, Lauren, Alexander and Cameron late October to photograph the family for some cards that we are creating. After a successful shoot we can now show you a few of the images that will not be on the card. Not because they didn’t make the cut…..but I have been sworn to secrecy on this epic card battle and there is nothing worse then the wrath of an angry Greek Women…..just ask  Lucas Papademos.

Madness - Panels 1 and 8 are my favourite. Excellent use of light as per the usual Ridout productions. Special mention to number 4 however as it has 400 written all over it. Well done. There are few families that will enjoy this kind of quality photography with the current average cookie cutter digital Debbie’s that are out there.

Karsh - KaPoWie! Thanks Mark!

The Jackson Family – Toronto Photo Session

Visited Toronto recently on what was definitely the nicest day of November. Although the trees here in Lindsay had lost all their colour , in Toronto the trees held on until we could capture some awesome images with the Jackson family. Gary, Paula, Dylan and Danielle were excellent subjects for another Ridout Photography Session. Here are a few faves from our visit. Enjoy!

It was starting to get dark and we knew after this image of Danielle that perhaps we should finish up:)

Paula - These are certainly no ordinary family pictures!!! They are just outstanding and I can’t help but think some of them could be in a magazine… not because of the subjects but the composition. We had a fantastic day and are thrilled with the outcome, thank you Mark and Chantal.

Madness - I scrolled up and down like an obsessive compulsive yo-yo trying to decide my favourite. Truth is they are all well thought out and executed. If I only had one choice it would be No 9. The layered effect is simply awesome.

Special mention to No 6 the chain link fence shot, the soft bokeh and hard edges of the fence make a great contrast. Of course the natural framing of the trees in No 8 & 10 didn’t happen by accident. Last but not least No 3, which if was shown in B & W would look like a scene from the Twilight Zone.

Phil + Khanh = Arthur

Congratulations to Phil & Khanh on their newest arrival Arthur Philip weighing in at 7 lbs 0.4 ounces and nineteen inches in length. Chantal and I photographed their wedding in Cuba at the  Iberostar Laguna Azul and not to long ago photographed Arthur waiting to arrive:)….stay tuned for more images of Arthur from Ridout Photography as Chantal and I plan on visiting the family in Pennsylvania.

This is Phil trying to retrieve his keys from the locked vehicle using a coat hanger. He was unsuccessful and for a moment I thought that their baby was going to be born in Lindsay.
This is Phil looking happy and relieved that Khanh did not have her baby in Lindsay
The next two images were supplied by Arthur’s happy parents

Khanh - If we had needed to give birth in Lindsay, I’m sure you would have been a terrific midwife, LOL.

And we love the pictures, of course!!!
